This is what we woke up to this morning
and it is still coming down
HEAVILY ...
Before our breakfast,
the squirrels and birds needed to be fed
making peanut butter sandwiches on brown bread
was on the menu :-)
as the birds began to arrive
I grabbed my camera
the snow was so deep they had trouble moving about
oh sweet sparrow ♥
with just a tad of suet on his beak
our garden bench
and pergola
all snow capped
and while I stood at the window taking photos
I realized that someone very sweet had found a safe spot out of the snow and wind.
We always leave some pieces of furniture out for this very reason ~ to provide some shelter when the weather gets rough.
So happy our little garden bunny took advantage of it ♥
~Have a safe Saturday~

hello Meredith ~ it really is beautiful looking out into my Narnia garden ~ like a snow globe ♥ have a wonderful weekend xo
How magnificent!
And I feel your love from here for leaving a shelter for the wild creatures outside in the cold cold Canadian weather.
xoxo
So beautiful Deb!... and I love love love all of your precious little guests... the squirrel with his peanut butter sandwich is adorable!... and how nice bunny girl has a place to stay warm and dry... Nature... I cannot imagine my life without it... xoxo Julie Marie
Those are some sweet little creatures you hang with my friend! Don't you love having all the birds come in? Today the crab apple trees were full of cedar waxwings and they were gorging themselves. We have a lot of stray cats that like to winter in our yard because of the shelter here and they tend to hang out the most under Dale's tack shed and the horse stalls. Sometimes I get quite the scare when I go out because they are all wild and when I don't know that they are there and then hiss at me,you should see me jump! I always feed them on the deck of the studio but they prefer the south side of the tack shed. In the spring they all seem to go back to the river beds. Not sure why, but the hunting must be better there. They sure won't tame though.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas season!
hugs from here...
Hope you're staying warm and cosy, Deb! Love the photos - especially the bunny! :)

hi June ~ yes, I love having them all around. And the cedar waxwings - aren't they gorgeous! We had a crowd of them in our yard one year and wished they would return, but spot them on our hikes with Archer. Love their little masks :-)
I bet you do get a scare with the cats "singing" to you :-) so nice that you make sure they have something to eat xoxo
