A Vintage Christmas ♥ Comfort & Joy # 9 ...

~Candy Cane Photo Easels~
Simple & cute
perfect Christmas craft to make with children.
To make a candy cane photo easel
you will need:
~ 3 large candy canes {I love Laura Secord and buy them every year}
~small piece of pretty ribbon, long enough to tie around candy canes twice & make a bow
~favourite Christmas photo or card
Simply put the three candy canes together and tie securely with ribbon.
Bend the middle cane to the back to create the easel.
Add a Christmas photo

{me, circa 1963 with Father Christmas in England}

Our hearts
grow tender
with childhood memories
and love of kindred,
and we are better throughout the year
for having, in spirit,
becoming a child again
at Christmas-time
~Laura Ingalls Wilder~

Found these extra large marshmallows while shopping for baking supplies & just had to get them, not knowing at the time what I would use them for.
Turns out, they are the perfect little candy cane stir stick holders :-D
and perfect for dipping in hot chocolate too!

Hello Deb... your candy cane photo holders are adorable!... what a fun idea... and the photo of you as a little girl in England is so precious!... I always enjoy the beautiful quotes you share... most of them I am familiar with, some I am not... but I love reading each and every one of them... and write down the ones I have not heard before in a special little journal I keep... your home looks so cozy and Christmasy... those cups of hot chocolate look yummy!... and those jumbo marshmallows to hold a candy cane stirring stick are darling... I'm going to look for some here... your Christmas posts are all so heartwarming!... xoxo Julie Marie
