When Women Were Birds
***
"Once upon a time,
when women were birds,
there was the simple understanding
that to sing at dawn
and to sing at dusk
was to heal the world through joy.
The birds still remember
what we have forgotten.
That the world
is meant
to be
celebrated"

Our robins fledged when we were out of town. I hated to miss it but that is the way it goes sometimes. I can still watch as the parents still feed the fledgings. I miss watching their development. I absolutely love the quote and the sketch you painted to go with it. Let us celebrate. Happy June, may you have plenty of rain and sunshine.
hi Lisa ~ I love to sit with my tea and watch the robins fly back and forth between the garden and nest and watch feeding time ... one day you can barely see their little heads and then these big beaks appear :-D Happy June!
I love getting up before the sunrise this time of year and go out and sit on our patio porch in my jammies with a cuppa of tea and watch and listen to the birds and land wake and greet the day then I like to sit after supper in the same place as the sun sets and listen and watch them as they get ready for the night and listen to the peepers and grey frogs as dusk drapes over the land . Lovely photos and paintings . Thanks for sharing , Have a good week !
hi Elaine ~ beautiful ways to begin and settle into your evenings ... my favourites too x
