3/12/22 Art and Found Day ...

Had such a fun day yesterday as it was Art and Found Day 2022 and I was one of over 900 artists (the number was increasing each time I looked :-) in 38 countries!

I headed out early in the morning to Central Park with my bag filled with little parcels. It was very cold and snowy and I didn't think too many would be out and about, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the park full of very happy playing dogs (met the most gorgeous trio of black labs)!! and lots of walkers.
I haven't been over to the park yet today to check and see if all 6 parcels were found but I did hear yesterday from 2 lovely people who found a parcel which was wonderful!

First hiding spot was one of my favourite areas of the park - the labyrinth.
I left one on a bench along the way- the weather was so cold that the phone camera didn't always co-operate ;-D
Two were left in front of the library - because art and books just go together!
You will find a parcel here at one of the parks entrances and another one on the fence in the distance.

6 parcels were left - 5 have original Art inside and the other has a wild fibre weaving. I also added a hand painted Lake Ontario beach stone to each as well as a hand painted seed package/envelope with all the art and found day information inside.

So happy to have participated in this wonderful world wide event and to help spread some cheer and community love through art.  Thank you so much to creator of Art and Found Day Courtney Senior!

Looking forward to participating again next year.

Hi Sandi ... yes and Archer and I actually came face to face with one a few years ago as we were leaving the park and he was walking in from the street!!! At first I thought it was a german shepherd on the loose and then we locked eyes.
Thankfully there was a car on the street that I was able to stand behind and sweet Archer "hid" between my legs :-)
He certainly was a beauty though.
