Wisdom in Silence

Wisdom in Silence

Wise winged spirit
you sit in silence.
And take your time
in the forest alliance.

You've claimed your space
you know your worth.
Strong and wise watcher
this is your gift since birth.

Your time is precious
you spend it well.
The Earth is guarded
from where you dwell.

I am always in complete awe in the presence of Owl.
During daily walks through the woods with my black lab Archer, I have spotted a few watching over the woods. There is a definite respect felt for this magnificent bird.  Woodland walks are such wonderful inspiration boosts  and Owl spotting was a treasured muse.
Wisdom in Silence is a print created from my original mixed media canvas using vintage papers (books and dressmakers) music sheets and stamping.  The wise winged spirit poem has been written in pencil underneath the paint … my love note to Owl.

A lovely print to honor life milestones and changes * graduation* friendship * hardships * a thank you for love & patience shown * for someone who needs a "gentle reminder" of their worth.

Time to walk around the garden and make sure all the feeders are filled.  We are anticipating a big snow storm heading our way.

I hope you and the owls in your area are hunkered down, ready for the storm. I really like your owl picture.

hi Lisa ~ thank you! we didn't get the amount of snow anticipated … but it is absolutely frigid out! Lots of activity at the feeders this morning including 4 male Cardinals which was out of the ordinary (we have a Cardinal couple that come daily) and tons of chickadees. The Cardinals always look so stunning with the snowy backdrop.
