The ordinary arts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest ~ Sir Thomas Moore ~

Hello August

sipping ice tea in my garden
and watching a pair of sweet cabbage white butterflies
as they flutter about & explore my wild secret garden …
planted to be a haven for butterflies* bees * birds * squirrels* chipmunks …
{and perhaps, even a few faeries}
this time of year everything has filled in and spilled over to the walking path
but I love it like that ...
the cosmos are taller this year than ever before {gorgeousness}
and soon I will brush my hand over them and gather up seeds
& toss them all about the garden again to land where they wish...
the lambs ears always lure me to run my hand against their gentle softness
coleus are filling window boxes and clay pots
portulaca have been thriving in the heat
~hello August~
you've been a hot one so far

"she had a wild, wandering soul
but when she loved,
she loved with chaos
and that made all the difference"
~Ariana Dancu~
watching the bees on our daily walk through the woods
 enjoying the shade and
breeze of trees
and cooling off at the waters edge
peace and  serenity found
"We need the tonic of wildness...
at the same time
that we are earnest to explore
 and learn all things,
we require that all things be mysterious
and unexplorable,
that land and sea
be indefinitely wild,
unsurveyed and unfathorned by us
because unfathornable.
We can never have enough of nature"
~Henry David Thoreau~

hello friends
"When you do things from your soul,
you feel a river moving in you,
a joy"
~Rumi~
