So often on our Woodland Walks
we can hear the birds but can not spot them,
so time to bring out the binoculars.
I have a little birding journal
small enough to fit in my coat pocket or camera bag
to bring along too and jot down the birds we see.
The Red Winged Blackbirds have been one of the most spotted birds thus far.
And of course ... picking up treasures along the way is a walking must too :-)
twigs for weaving and heart shaped stones ... pretty leaves for pressing and feather messages ~ ♥
Spring
would not be Spring
without bird songs

I love going for walks in our valley and do so every day with my Miggs . I just have to look in my yard for all kinds of birdies at my feeders and in our trees and hedges. I just saw and heard a Brown Thrasher again this year all though he doesn't seem to hang about for long they have a lovely song to ! Glad you were able to get out and enjoy the woods and birdies ! Thanks for sharing , have a good week !
I love birds.
I love all you share and your lovely quotes
The birds sing to us sweetly.
How beautiful a sound.
Blessings

I've always loved bird watching, and when I was a girl in SD, I'd come home and look up any new sightings in the encyclopedia.
Today I saw a pair of Western Bluebirds - a species I don't see very often here in So Cal. Yesterday I saw a Red Tailed Hawk catch a dove mid flight, unfortunate for the dove but lunch for the hawk.
You are a treasure Deb, look how amazing you are!
Hugs,
Meredith
hi Elaine, walks with Miggs are the best & exciting that your Brown Thatcher has returned. Hope he stays in one spot long enough so you can enjoy his sweet song ♥ have a wonderful weekend!
hello Jeanne ~ thank you for all your visits and kind comments.
happy birdsong ♥
hi Pallas ~ a fellow bird lover ♥ I have a little pocket journal now so I can jot down bird descriptions to look up when we get home :-) Western bluebirds - gorgeous and we often see the Hawks on our weekend walks.
Meredith ♥ xoxo
