Lillith

Not the best of photos,
but too sweet not to share ♥
Our newest baby garden bunny :-}
Out of all the photos I snapped these 2 were the best!  I had to take them sitting on our kitchen window seat, zooming in as best I could as she is quite a distance away in the garden.
The cutest part is, of all the spots to choose, she ALWAYS sits here ... next to our
Rabbit Crossing garden sign.
She's getting bigger and bigger by the day.
We call her Lillith as she loves to sit by the Lilies .

Thankful {things I love} Thursday ...

I am so Grateful to be in 2 Stampington publications this month.
Somerset Studio Gallery Summer 2015
and
Sew Somerset
Summer 2015 where I have 3 articles / art work.
A Contact Gatherer pouch
 to hold  business cards
created with my Woodland Whispers print on the cover.
Practical Pinafore
my new favourite style of apron
with cross over straps. Super comfy to wear and easy to put on and off.
lots of embellishments including a special little
"love note to the sparrows"
And for the garden,
my Live Life Lantern
create using a few  watercoloured prayer flag panels
and stitched together.
All the directions to create, along with needed Tools & Materials are in Sew Somerset.
I wanted to create it so that it could lay flat after Summer when it's time to pack away the garden items.  The two dowels on top criss cross and you simply just take them out to allow the lantern to fold up.
In our garden, the Lilac have all but finished
making way for the Peony to be the star of the garden for a little while.
I've snipped and gathered up the last little bit of lilac and lily of the valley
to bring indoors ♥
hope you are having a wonderful, Thankful Thursday

Bring me all your dreams ...

A little dream saver satchel
to hang on your bed post
a spot to jot down all those thoughts, wishes and dreams ...
So often ideas come to me late in the evening, or when I awake,
and instead of having to jump out of bed, I keep a little satchel nearby that holds a pad of paper and pencil/pen, so I am always ready to jot down ideas ♥
On the back, I have stamped the wonderful words of the ever inspiring Langston Hughes ♥
Bring me all of your dreams
you dreamers,
bring me all your heart melodies
that I may wrap them in a blue cloud cloth
away from the too rough fingers
of the world.

Working with my Guiding Word for Twenty Fifteen,
*GROW*
I created some flowers to surround myself with inspiration to Grow
Fabric flowers, with the words Grow Free, Grow Strong, Grow Wild stamped on each leaf,
and along the bottom, created some cotton roots, reminding myself to stretch my roots out into unfamiliar territory. {Nature is a wonderful teacher}
Both Dream Satchel and Grow Wild, Grow Free, Grow Strong can be found in the latest issue of Somerset Studio Gallery
Summer 2015
Thank you so much to Natalie Way, Managing Editor, a joy to work with you.

Thankful {things I love} Thursday ...

When I returned home yesterday afternoon, I took my tea and a painting I was working on outside. The sun was shining, and the moment I opened the door to step outside I was greeted with the incredible scent of Lilac.  Ahh Lilac days ♥
As I sat on my deck, I spent a few moments just listening to the water from our corner pond.  A sound that is so relaxing.  Out of the corner of my eye I spotted  our resident male and female Cardinals splashing in one of our bird baths.
It didn't take long before I went inside to get my camera :-)
As I walked around the garden, I noticed this beautiful Robin atop of our fence post.
He was taking in all the beauty too, and was very kind to stay long enough for me to take a few photos.

Robin left this little treasure behind in our garden pond
which we gathered and placed in one of our fallen nest finds

have a wonderful, Thankful Thursday

Thankful {things I love} Thursday ...

Ahh ... the Hummingbird
I wait yearly in anticipation of their arrival.
I remember last Summer while staying with our friends at their cottage watching in awe as one after the other took turns at the feeder.
At home I had 3 Hummingbird feeders out in the hopes that they would stop by.
My sweet friend Julie Marie knowing this sent me the most gorgeous Hummingbird earrings for my birthday, so the Hummers would always be near :-)
Such beauty and determination in that little body.
I've been working on some dream catchers for the past few days.
Dream Catcher Hummingbird is a tiny dream catcher created with a brass hoop, lots of long lovely ribbons and a tiny watercolour Hummingbird that is suspended from the hoop.
I noticed our lily of the valley was in bloom, and picked a few for bouquets to bring indoors (along with some more lilac) ... oh the sweetest scents & hung Dream Catcher Hummingbird in the pussy willow tree.  It looked so pretty as the breeze caught the ribbon and twirled the catcher.
but this paper bird can't stay outside
it's too delicate
I've added a Dream Big affirmation to the back
because like the Hummingbird,
the smallest birds can have the biggest aspirations and dreams♥
The Dream Keeper
Bring me all of your dreams,
you dreamer,
bring me all your heart melodies
that I may wrap them
in a blue cloud cloth
away from the too rough fingers
of the world
