The high winds have blown most of the Honeysuckle leaves from the vine ...
they have been dancing & twirling about in our garden for days :-)
I've been gathering them up and pressing them between pages of books ~ getting them ready to sit under our Thanksgiving plates next weekend ♥
October
is the fallen leaf,
but it is also
a wider horizon
more clearly seen.
It is the distant hills
once more in sight,
and the enduring constellations
above them
once again

Welcome October

Just beautiful Deb! I have missed too many of your lovely posts and so it has been a pleasure to go back and read the ones I have missed. I loved your painting in your thankful thursday post (she is such a beauty) and also your autumn post with all the amazing photos of your autumn so far. I love that you use your leaves to decorate your Thanksgiving table. I hope you have a wonderful feast!
You find the best quotes Deb!!!
have a great weekend,
Much love...
Beautiful my lovely friend.
I love everything you share.
Love Jeanne
thank you Monique ♥
Happy Autumn to you Carla ♥ Thank you for your visit.
hi Jane ~ the leaves are so large and some have turned the most gorgeous colours, while others remain green. Our pergola is looking quite bare as the wind has shook most of them free ♥
hello June ~ so happy to see you had stopped by ♥
thank you for all your lovely words ~ wishing you a wonderful weekend also xo
thank you dear Jeanne ♥ happy October !
I love the idea of pressed leaves on the table. Maybe for next year though, as our Thanksgiving is next weekend! Can't wait for that pie!

Happy Thanksgiving ... looking forward to the pie too! My daughter is doing Thanksgiving this year so I know the food will be amazing ♥
Our leaves are green our temps are warm, but still I am dreaming of Autumn.
