Ahh ... the Hummingbird
I wait yearly in anticipation of their arrival.
I remember last Summer while staying with our friends at their cottage watching in awe as one after the other took turns at the feeder.
At home I had 3 Hummingbird feeders out in the hopes that they would stop by.
My sweet friend Julie Marie knowing this sent me the most gorgeous Hummingbird earrings for my birthday, so the Hummers would always be near :-)
Such beauty and determination in that little body.
I've been working on some dream catchers for the past few days.
Dream Catcher Hummingbird is a tiny dream catcher created with a brass hoop, lots of long lovely ribbons and a tiny watercolour Hummingbird that is suspended from the hoop.
I noticed our lily of the valley was in bloom, and picked a few for bouquets to bring indoors (along with some more lilac) ... oh the sweetest scents & hung Dream Catcher Hummingbird in the pussy willow tree. It looked so pretty as the breeze caught the ribbon and twirled the catcher.
but this paper bird can't stay outside
it's too delicate
I've added a Dream Big affirmation to the back
because like the Hummingbird,
the smallest birds can have the biggest aspirations and dreams♥
The Dream Keeper
Bring me all of your dreams,
you dreamer,
bring me all your heart melodies
that I may wrap them
in a blue cloud cloth
away from the too rough fingers
of the world

Love that your hummers are back Deb, ours are too!... it is something Jack and I wait for all the long, cold winter... we get sooo excited to see the first one, I always mark it in my nature journal... we name them all too, of course!... your hummingbird windcatcher dreamcatcher is gorgeous!... how pretty that would be by a window inside with a gentle breeze blowing it around... "winged jewels" as they are called... I love them so much!... enjoy yours!... xoxo... Julie Marie
Lovely dream catchers . Our hummers have been busy at our feeders , They truly are wonderful creatures ! Thanks for sharing , have a good day !
I think we are all infatuated with hummingbirds. I've heard they beat their wings 96 times per second! Amazing! How lucky you are to get such beautiful photos. And Julie sending the earrings was so sweet, I really like her.
I didn't know you made dream catchers. Are they okay to keep outdoors? My husband gets them from a place in downtown Chicago where they are handmade by native American Indians. He and I and the kids all have them hanging from the rear view mirrors in our cars. I don't know if they bring upon safety but we prize them!
Thanks always for your visits and your nice comments on IG! I hope to get by your blog more often. I moved my laptop to a room with better reception! :)

Love Jeanne
The hummingbirds nest in our gardens. I am always thrilled by their presence. They keep me in wonder. Our kitty watches them through the window and they will fly right up to her!
it's a beautiful dream catcher! lovely theme and colours X
hi Julie marie ~ aren't they just the most amazing "winged jewels" ♥
hi Elaine ~ they really are little wonders ♥ enjoy your hummers & have a wonderful weekend too.
hi jane ~ I agree, they are incredible little birds ♥ I have lots of dream catchers scattered around my home, but adding some watercolour cut outs is new - they are indoor dream catchers due to the fragile nature, but I am really enjoying creating them. thanks so much for stopping by xo
hello dear Jeanne ~ so happy that the hummers visit you too - let me know when yours arrive ♥
hi Kerrie ~ I spotted a hummingbird nest in one of our trees last year and was thrilled to know they were that close :-) Enjoy yours ♥
