The ordinary arts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest ~ Sir Thomas Moore ~

april ...

I always feel so fortunate that although I live in the city
I am surrounded by water & wildlife ♥
between the trumpet swans and sea gulls there are plenty of lovely white feathers to be found on our walks  & pretty twigs and grapevine branches, leaves that have been covered in snow for months and tiny little heart shaped stones & I love bringing home these found treasures and setting them up on my art table to draw.
~happy april~

I can see you are a collector just like me! I have little boxes filled with all sorts of nature. Little tokens of a special time...lots of children and puppy teeth that unfortunately I mixed up and can't tell apart! lol!

Happy First Day Of April!! Let's hope warm weather is right ahead!

XO,
Jane

Last year I lived in a big city right next to a huge part. As a city girl I loved that! It was so easy to just get on the bike and lost amongst the meadows and trees for hours. I miss that. Such lovely drawings you create xo

hi Lynda, the trumpet swans are a favourite to see on our walks (you can hear them long before spotting them) :-) and at this particular spot the chickadee fly into your hand for seed ... our little grandson adores it here ♥
