baking day ...

starting the week
making homemade granola
and almond topped walnut/banana loaf
simple ingredients
when mixed together
make lovely, simple meals ...
toast made from homemade bread
topped with our jam
tastes
like home ♥
a small dish of Greek yogurt
with a tiny sprinkle of peanut/honey granola ...

my husbands
cheese & onion loaf

Seek a sanctuary.
Respect it,
as it is  holy.
Walk into it
with a bare mind,
bare feet,
and plain clothing.
Nurture
your body, mind and spirit.
Through a healing ritual,
leave it
with a pure heart
until you find your way to it
again.

Oh Deb, what a lovely way to start off your week... your breads and jam all look so yummy!... we are still eating our jam I made last Summer... so nice to enjoy on a cold winters day!... your birthday flowers look so pretty too in their white vase by the little birdies... could you please email me how you make your granola?... mine never seems to be just how I want it to be... I am sure yours is the best... also love the quote for today... so very inspiring... xoxo Julie Marie

hi Meredith - I think today is one of the coldest days outside & the sunshine pouring through the window is deceiving. Archer has found the perfect spot on the carpet and has the sun on his face :-) the look is priceless ♥
Nothing like baking on a cold day to make the house smell wonderful that's for sure.
have a wonderful day xo

There is nothing quite so perfect as handmade bread, and I am REALLY partial to your husband's cheese and onion loaf. I could surely make a meal of that!

hello lisa - I agree! Especially when it is still warm with a bit of butter ♥ Tonights bread was walnut and molasses ~ another delicious recipe :-)
