My daughter Kate recently bought me a gorgeous set of 8 place mats and linen napkins.
Knowing Autumn is my favourite season along with the gorgeous warm autumnal colours I gravitate too, the colours are simply stunning.
I've been slowly putting away the Summer décor and bringing out the Autumn {even though we are having another heat wave} and thinking all things Autumnal ~ including Thanksgiving, which for us in Canada is October 12th, so less than a month away.
My paintings have been leaf and pumpkin themed as of late.
Kate and I brought out our Thanksgiving table cloth and added the place mats and napkins the other day to get an idea of the colour scheme our table will have this year.
It gave me an idea :-)
And I soon began to turn four new paintings into "Thankful Tags" for the table.
Each tag measures 4.5" x 3.5" , with a lovely shade of Sparrow brown cardstock on the back, and set with an eyelet in the left hand corner. Sparrow brown and white twisted twine completes each tag. The twine has been left long enough to tie around a napkin.
We'll put a jam jar filled with acorns in the middle of the table and fill the jar with white ink pens
so each family member can write on their place card what they are Thankful for this Thanksgiving ♥
