Openings In Heaven...

Little did we know when you came into our lives a year and a half ago

that our time together would be so short.

But the memories we made

and the love we shared

will last forever ♥♥
Journey on Wonderful You!

Perhaps they are not stars

but rather, openings in Heaven

where the love of our lost ones

pours through

and shines down upon us

to let us know they are happy

What a lovely proverb. I do hope that Ernie is looking down thinking that this was the best of his life. To be so loved and honored. Big Hugs.

Sassy, Buddy, and Zack told us about Ernie. It is always so sad to see our friends leave. Ernie is running free now, but his family has a sadness in their hearts that will not soon leave.

Deb, I am so very sorry for your loss of Ernie. You know my heart is mourning with you!! What a blessing for Ernie that he had such a wonderful home at the end of his life. I always say for rescues that they got to have a taste of heaven before they went to heaven. I so wish you could have had him longer. The loss is always heartbreaking for us. You are in my prayers and I'm sending lots of large {{{{{HUGS}}}}}.
Love,
Lallee

Unconditional love is what you gave and received from Ernie. Both of you are truly blessed. There are not many who will take in a senior fur baby. Ernie spent his last year and a half in a loving home. He is still with you in your memories and you will be reunited. He is waiting for you and when he sees you he will run to you with his tail wagging and smother you with doggie kisses.

Sweet dreams, Ernie.

Sending my heartfelt condolences to you and yours. We too lost our beloved rescue boy last year. Luckily, we rescued him at age 11 and he lived to be 17.2 years old. I always said from the very beginning that it was about "the quality and not the quantity." I'm sure you treasured every day spent with your precious furchild.
All my best,
Holly (and Phoebe too - the new rescue!)
