The ordinary arts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest ~ Sir Thomas Moore ~

tea time {& some favourite quotes} ...

We are in the midst of another snow fall
{bliss}
Archer and I headed to the woods for a lovely, long walk
freshly fallen snow underfoot ...
once home, and before I started on anything
I put on the kettle ,  lit candles,
nestled on the sofa & picked up one of my favourite books
Women who run with the wolves ...
"A woman is like a tea bag;
you never know how strong it is
until it's in hot water"
~Eleanor Roosevelt~
... tea and a little positive affirmation ... love x
"She's mad
but she's magic,
there's no lie
in her fire"
~Charles Bukowski~
birthday flowers dried beautifully ...
I turned them into a little wreath ...
"I call her wild woman,
for those very words,
wild and woman,
create llamar o tocar a la puerta,
the fairy-tale knock at the door of the deep feminine psyche.
Llamar o tocar a la puerta means literally
to play upon the instrument of the name in order to open a door.
It means using words
that summon up the opening of a passageway.
No matter by which culture a woman is influenced, she understands the words
wild and woman
intuitively"
~Clarissa Pinkola Estes~

"My darling girl,
when are you going to realize
that being "normal"
is not necessarily a virtue?
It sometimes rather denotes a lack of courage"
~Aunt Frances~
serenity
the flickering of candlelight
"Women
try to tame themselves
as they get older,
but the ones who look best
are often
a bit wilder"
~Miuccia Prada~
"The doors to the world of the wide self
are few but precious.
If you have a deep scar, that is a door,
if you have an old, old story, that is a door.
If you love the sky and the water so much
you almost cannot bear it, that is a door.
If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life,
that is a door"
~Clarissa Pinkola Estes~
"I love getting older.
My understanding deepens.
I can see what connects.
I can weave stories of experience and apply them.
I can integrate the lessons.
Things simply become more and more fascinating.
Beauty reveals itself
in thousands of forms"
~Victoria Erickson~

Wonderful quotes! Lucky you to have the snow. It always seems so magical when there's newly fallen snow covering everything. Where I live it's been mostly rain for two solid months. Not quite so magical! :-)
