Spring Forward ...

It has been so very long since I've been able to take my camera with me on walks.
I was so happy to bring it with me this past weekend.
As the clocks sprung forward, Sunday brought with it warmer temps
and bright, bright sunshine!
Anyone who knows me, knows that I simply ADORE Winter.
I love everything about it ... nesting indoors with warm fleecy blankets and crackling fires, comfort food ~ baking ~ Wintery home comforts. Snow fall ... oh how I love snow. The first snowfall of the year is always so magical. Walking in the snow ... hearing that crackling with each step.
Over the years, my hubby and I have come to realize that we are in a very small population of people who feel this way :-)
So this past weekend, while there is still plenty of snow left in our favourite Woodland Walking spot... I was so happy to be able to walk with my camera and capture all the beauty surrounding us.
And spotting this little nest from last year still standing strong...
well, it reminds me of the beauty to come with the next season ...
and soon to be
new nests filled with new life ♥

Beautiful Deb!... as you know, I am not a winter person, I love the warmth of the sun and long, lazy days much more... but I DO admit that winter can look beautiful, as in your lovely photos... and I too enjoy snuggling inside, a cosy fire, baking... all of the things you mentioned... but the sun, the birds, the bees, the flowers... the stream... they all call to me, and I am so excited as Spring approaches!... have a beautiful day dear friend, xoxo... hello Monique ~ when I look at my snowy fence it is hard to believe that in the months ahead Robin will be making her nest in her usual spot (I hope) :-)Every year we have had a nest built amongst the trumpet vine.

hi Lisa ~ we have a few spots where the birds choose to nest every year and I am able to watch too. The Robins love our fence which is covered in trumpet vine and above our pergola. I can see INSIDE the nest when it atop the pergola from my upstairs window and it has been truly amazing seeing the babies ♥

hello Elaine ~ the weather was so Spring like today ... I actually left the kitchen door open for a while & now even though it is past 7pm it is still light outside.

I am in that small few with you in loving Winter. Spring is beautiful but I have such bad allergies and I do not take meds so I really suffer. Then the terrible heat of Summer comes. I had a heat stroke when I was 20 yrs old that did permanent damage to my body so I have to stay indoors most of July and August. Autumn and Winter are the months that I live outdoors in nature the most. They are life seasons for me. Your photos capture the quiet beauty and that bird nest is glorious. xxo
