The ordinary arts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest ~ Sir Thomas Moore ~

a weekend walk ...

the sun was shining but it was cold ...
the trumpet swans were having loud conversations :-D ...
chickadees were settling on our outstretched hands ...
squirrels were following us along the path anticipating the next peanut toss ...
ducks and geese and sea gulls were enjoying the sun and walking about ...
and the sweetest little chippie kept us amused as he came out of his hole for some seed
and then dove back in ~ each time it required a little face wash :-)

What a lovely day! There's something incredibly special about getting a chickadee to eat out of your hand. They weigh next to nothing when they land.

hi Kristie ~ it really is magical. They stayed longer than usual, I think, because it was so cold ... normally they quickly grab a seed and leave, a few stayed to eat the seed on our hand :-D

Tessy wants Archer to know she "might" be part Irish Setter today!... (just long enough to get some corned beef!)... xoxo Julie Marie

Hi Deb,
It's pouring rain here and hubby is out of town.
Pups and I are cozy by the fire.
Enjoyed catching up with you and handsome Archer.
