The ordinary arts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest ~ Sir Thomas Moore ~

In the woods today ...

You never know what or who you will spot in the woods ...
could it be a labra-bunny?
Everyone gets involved in Easter egg hunts in our family :-D
beautiful finds along our way ...
shedding ...
unfurling ... {isn't that a magical word}
~unfurling: make or become spread out from a rolled or folded state,
especially in order to be open to the wind ~
We had a change of weather each turn we took it seemed this afternoon.
It started out warm and sunny - then extremely windy - then the dark clouds appeared and along with it  a few drops of rain - then back to warm and sunny again!
Can you see Grey Jay {also known as Canada Jay or Whisky Jack}?
Canada's National Bird
He was singing a fine tune - for most of our walk through the forest we could hear his beautiful voice.

look at all the buds ♥
so many beautiful tangles ...
and the beginnings of something very beautiful
I absolutely love twig shelters ... it is my dream to have one for my own garden :-D
I can imagine sitting inside all cocooned up with a quilt and book ~ bliss
***
Buried deep beneath the surface of his character
was a hidden, yet restless ambition:
but this was perhaps at present,
a secret
even to himself.
We know not our own characters
till time teaches us
self knowledge ...
