Weekend Walk...

headed out  yesterday with a small bag of seed & some peanuts in my pocket.
Camera in hand.

this gorgeous (and large) rabbit hopped towards me.
I stood for a while just admiring him.
I've always loved bunnies and had one as a child named Cinders.  He was pure white with the slightest smudge of black on his nose ~ like Cinder dust ♥ hence his name.
I could hear the black capped Chickadees long before we spotted them.
Though it was cold, the sun was shining brightly I  really had to look to find them amongst the trees.
This beautiful female Cardinal flew down followed shortly by her mate.
Ice sculptures at the lake :-)
Can you spot both the chickadees ?  They were  really  well camouflaged.
Squirrels were comical as  always ...

Hi Deb... I love all of your photos of your Nature walk... we are kindred spirits for sure... my favorite is the little Chickadee landing on your husband's hand... and your quote is so right on...

I spent some time getting caught up with you...Our walks are very similar, countryside and nature, except we have no snow, only rain puddles!
What a treat for your husband!!!
