Playing with Paints & Pencils ...

I came across a photo of my daughter, taken around 2001, in a chiffon dress, her waist length hair twisted in an up-do. She had mentioned wanting some art work for her Condo and would I paint something a while ago ... prior to my automobile accident and the issues that resulted from that, painting was a passion of mine. Now, it's more about pacing than passion but I kept thinking about that photo and how much fun it would be to paint it ...

I knew I had some canvas' and a cupboard filled with acrylic paints ...and the desire to create ...

and then ... the paints led to the pencils.

I only needed to look around Sparrow Studio to find a photo of Ernie I loved. We had only adopted him the week before, and there he sat in the garden on a snowy December afternoon wearing what had been Ben's ♥ red jacket. Since Ben weighed 125lbs and Ernie only 52, it hung on him and I had to sew an additional button on the underside of the coat to keep it from slipping on him :-)

I find that I have painted my life-

things happening in my life- without knowing.

Deb I bet your daughter loves the painting. It is just beautiful and would mean so much to her I am sure. And the sketch of Ernie...well, that is just so lovely. Oh I always wished that I would be able to sketch, but I can't draw at all. I dabble in painting, but nothing like this.

Thank you so much Deb, for the sweet words you left for me. It made my day to read them.

Another talent! From my viewpoint it doesn't look dusty at all.
