Where Bloggers Create 2nd Annual Blog Party ...

Good Morning!

I participated last year in Karen's wonderful idea "Where Blogger's Create".
We all love" Where Women Create" , and I thought the concept of a blog party where we can share our creative spaces and stories and the "Where Blogger's Create" title was brilliant!
I've written lots of posts before about my little studio on my first blog posted-from-home.
After running out of photo space recently, I started up posted-from-home Part 2. For those who are visiting here for the 1st time, I'll start from the beginning.

Welcome to Sparrow Studio...
Everything is either from garage sales, thrift shops, auctions ... even found freebie curbside treasures ... but the sweetest treasure is my dog Ernest - adopted 6 months ago.
My 11 1/2 year old black lab who is my constant companion & loves the studio as much as I do ♥

Treasure and trinkets fill every little nook and cranny and wall space.
A printers drawer holds my stamp collection { and tiny trinkets}...

A "chandelier" made from a vintage plastic clothes dryer now holds lots of special photos and charms and hangs above my desk ... I only need "look up" to find inspiration ...

You'll find birds in every nook and cranny ...
hidden here & there ...
"Sugared Sparrows" ...
bookcases holding baskets

and books ...

reuse, re purpose and recycle is my motto ...
inspiration...
one of my son's favourite trucks when he was little ...
my studio is filled with special little treasures like this that mean so much to me ...
and inspiration boards to hold some of my sketches and ideas ...
a place to create to my heart's content ...
when ever I wish ...
my large desk was found curbside with a "take me" sign on it ...
The sides drop down - but I find I need the space and keep it fully open :-)
I LOVE photography, and have some of my photos in frames ...
and gifts from my children on shelves ...
My son made this trivet for me in grade school - it sits on my desk holding my many cups of coffee ...
A little painted sign with twigs and a bird nest sits above a closet door ...
My daughter, knowing how much I adore Doris Day, won 2 autographed photos at an animal charity a few years ago for me ...

Inspirational words stamped on a canvas ...

Inspiration ...
A spot to paint, draw, create ...
Eyes of Wonder ...
"Industrial Charm"
What was once an old mechanics light is now a holder for my string :-)
I love creating Inspirational boards...
filling in every little gap with pictures and words ...

I feel very blessed to have my own little spot ...

A room of my own ...
a quiet, peaceful place ...

Thank you for visiting Sparrow Studio ....

and Thank you Karen
for hosting such a wonderful, fun, blog party! I can't wait to visit with you all ♥
Blessings
from

Hello Deb... oooh, Sparrow Studio is just beautiful... I love each little nook and cranny, and of course all of your little birds and Nature treasures... I especially love your inspiration boards... and of course, your pup! Everything is so organized, I also love the old droplight with your string in it, how creative! Thanks for a peek inside your serene spot... xoxo Julie Marie

Hi Deb,
I share your love and interest in DORIS DAY! Enjoyed your blog and all the lovely photos with notes. I wanted to tell you and ALL Doris Day fans about the weekly DORIS DAY & FRIENDS radio show from FredNetRadio - this station can be heard world-wide by going to: www.frednetradio.com

Click on Live Streaming

FredNetRadio chose MIKE DeVITA, a long-time friend and fan of Miss Day to host this great radio show - The live show is on Sundays @ 3:00PM (EST) with an encore @ 3:00PM, 8:00PM and Midnight on Wednesdays. Mike gives great commentary about Doris and her music and he plays at least 20+ songs and often more if the show goes way longer than an hour. It is definitely musical history with DORIS DAY all the way! People are listening all over the world and enjoying music the way it should be - the DORIS DAY way. FredNetRadio plays awesome music all day long - the very BEST from the 40s, 50s and 60s - from the Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, Connie Francis, all the groups in the 60s and of course, DORIS DAY! She is featured at least 4 or more times every hour, and then of course during her special show, she is singing the whole show!

Tell all your friends about FredNetRadio and enjoy radio the way it should be - with great music 24/7.

I used to be Doris Day’s personal secretary in the 70s when she was filming her TV Show at CBS. Have been a fan since age 10 and got to live my dream!

Deb your studio is beautiful. So this is where you create such wonderful things. You create in so many mediums, and that inspires me. I know you best for your photograghy, but I love everything you do. Ernie looks so content in the space as well. I'm sure his presence is true inspiration.

Deb,
I've enjoyed your blog for some time and now I know why I'm not seeing newer posts in my google reader...you've moved! Your studio is filled with so much meaning and sentiment...very special. So many creative touches and clever uses of repurposing vintage items. Very inspirational! Adore little Ernest too {have a younger version of him in white that is a part of our family}! Xo, Sue
