sun streams ...

Another cold and windy day
but
the sun streams lighting up my painting desk make it feel warm and cozy inside ♥
working on a new garden journal
& thinking of new plants to attract even more birds
in Sparrows Garden ...
looking through photos of birds  visiting  now
{all taken in the same tree, from the same kitchen window at different Seasons} :-)
colour matching for sketches ...
my favourite Angora Water Colors made in Germany ...
not much left of them now ...
well used & loved ...
inspirational rocks ...
and tiny stones...
sitting in a bowl of sand
memories
from a special holiday ...
Each year, as soon as the Lilac is in bloom
I know the Finch will return to our garden ♥
I dream my paintings,
and then
they paint
my dreams
~Vincent Van Gogh~
~Have a wonderful weekend~

How soft and serene and beautiful Deb... I love all of your gorgeous birds and the paintings you do of them... I just bought myself new sketchpads and water~color pencils to begin sketching more often... I love all of your little inspirational rocks... we have so many similar things!... I keep a little heart tray on my desk with mine in it too... my "serenity" rock sits on top, as that is my guiding word this year (along with nest!)... I am excited to see your new garden journal and hear your plans for what you are going to plant... love the quote by Van Gogh and the photo of your paintbrushes is just stunning... much love, doggie kisses to Archer from Tessy... xoxo Julie Marie

I love the idea of starting a garden journal. Photos with names of the plants, where and when they were planted and how they are doing... I started one once with seed packets, but didn't quite like how it was going. Thanks for the post and the inspiration.

My goodness, Deb, your paintings are magnificent! The colors are just beautiful, and so wonderful to see when everything is so cold and gray here.

Happy Sunday to you!

hi Andrea - I like going back to older journals and seeing my 'wish lists' and ideas ... some accomplished, like putting in a pond & pergola, and notes on plants that did really well in our garden and others that didn't. Remembering that I had wonderful Hollyhock growing (from seed) and wanting to grow them again this year ♥
