puddle wonderful ...

A teeny-tiny snowman sits on my kitchen window ledge
with seed eyes & sunflower nose.
Yesterday, we spotted both Mr & Mrs Cardinal in the garden
that splash of red in the snow ... stunning!
Soon afterwards a loud squawk was heard...
we were surprised to find not one but two
Blue Jays letting the Cardinals know that they had spent enough time at the feeders.
The Sparrows of course, always share ♥
It rained all through the night and it's been  sloshy - walking today.
Thinking of e.e. cummings words & preferring to think of it as "puddle wonderful" :-)
The world
is mud-luscious
and
puddle
wonderful

Oh that little snowman made me smile Deb! I love seeing all the birds that live at your house. We have neither Blue Jays nor Cardinals so
I love seeing them in your yard.
Have a great Sunday!
hugs from here...

You find the best quotes! We have the exact same weather...everything is slushy and puddles everywhere! The fog has been a little scary for drivers though.

Pretty cardinals, I love that they stay the winter! :)

XO,
Jane

hi Julie Marie - the Cardinals look so striking especially in the Winter with their festive red coats :-)and we normally only have 1 Jay that visits so spotting 2 was a real thrill (even though they are bossy). When my kids were little they always made me a BIG snowman in the yard. Knowing how much I love snowmen, my hubby builds me teeny tiny ones ♥

Beautiful postings and quotes.
The sun is out here today and melting a bit of the snow. We have had rain on friday ourselves.

Much love and many blessings

I love all you share.

One of my favourite things is watching the birds at the feeder. We're not getting the cardinals and blue jays this winter. Might have something to do with the hawk that's taken up residence. The sparrows can quickly fly into nearby bushes that are big enough for them. It's been a nice break from Winter these past few days! I didn't even mind the slush - it made up for the spring- like air! xo

hi Jeanne ~ the sun has melted a lot of the snow ~ still really icy here.

hi Meredith ~ it has been tricky taking photos outside as it's still really icy, so the garden pics are taken from the kitchen window :-)

hi Lynda - one of my favourite things too. picked up a new feeder at Holland Park today (I seem to be drawn to them) :-) will be running out of spots to put them soon! We had a hawk in our yard too and lost so many sparrows. This year our yard has seen more Junco than anything else. Thank you for your visit ♥
