A light shines ...

From within
or from behind
a light shines through us
upon things
and makes us aware
that we are nothing
but the light is all
~Ralph Waldo Emerson~

I took my camera this morning on our walk. The weather these past few days has been beautiful ~ warm and sunny. Usually, I am eagerly anticipating that hot cup of coffee as we walk home early in the morning , but it didn't take long for the sun to come out and warm everything up :-) The squirrels were busy gathering up leaves and taking them to their nests. Blue Jays were singing and the Woodpeckers making that sweet little squeaking sound. The leaves looked so pretty with the sunlight shining through them. A light shines and everyone is happy!

Thanks for sharing the beauty and the thought about the light. I wish I had been with you, this is my favorite thing to do. I just got back from my walk..36 degrees and wind, but it was awesome! ;D

I spent the day doing the same thing.
Aren't pups the best companions on these walks?
Lovely shots!

Ernie is a handsome dude. I love the light. You have black squirrels! I am always happy to see them. We have only fox and gray squirrels here. Not far from here there are white squirrels. Wouldn't it be fun to see the black and white squirrels togther?. Happy Day.

I'm up and about in the morning light, too. But - no Ernie to walk with me! I took a photography class last week and the lecturer spoke of light. It is always on the fringe of my awareness.
